My 7 year journey still feels so young. I spent most of my 20s and 30s in a blackout sleep deprived haze. A never ending cycle of drinking, drugs, guilt and shame. Virtual hell with no way out. When I finally hit my bottom I was 37 and I realized that I didn’t recognize who I was. I knew I was sick and needed help and once I had a little sobriety under my belt I realized that I had to learn how to live, to love, to function and finally, to figure out what my higher power had planned for me. I no longer have the physical cravings of alcohol (at least 98% of the time) thank god and now I have a pretty good idea what God has in store. So grateful for each day, each breath, my body, my health and the fact I get to do what I do. If you are hurting, if you are seeking a life out of your living hell, know there is light. Know there is hope. Know that you do not have to live this way any longer. Get help, reach out. If I can find my light, so can you🖤 #sober #soberyogi #plantbased #yogateacher #soberlife #sobriety #soberaf #vegan #vibratehigher #vibratehigherdaily #recovery #recover #thenewhealthy #yogastrong #yogaeverydamnday #faith #loveyourself #practiceyou #onedayatatime #onebreathatatime #truthtalk #foodphotographer #teetotaler #wearetheluckiest #foodblogger #healthandwellness #reversewarrior
